This blog exists mostly as a place to externalize and process a long career in engineering — including some complicated years at Amazon — while leaving a few breadcrumbs behind for engineers who come after me.

I’m not trying to teach, sell, or perform here. This is closer to thinking out loud, in public but quietly.

What to expect

Posts here will be uneven.

Some will be technical. Some will be reflective. Some may just be half-formed thoughts that needed to be written down before they calcified into something unhelpful.

If you’re looking for structure or consistency, you probably won’t find it. That’s intentional.

Why do this

Writing has always been the fastest way for me to understand what I actually think — especially after periods of high stress, burnout, or forced optimism.

If any of this resonates with someone else, that’s a bonus. If not, the act of writing still serves its purpose.

Will this change later?

Almost certainly.
